| Admiral Ranks
The title of Admiral signifies senior command rank in many navies. Admirals, sometimes known as flag officers, were typically responsible for a high level military command in battle group or fleet , and/or for administrative and political duties relating to naval operations. In the Federation, the Admirals are the highest rank, as it takes years to achieve.

| Fleet Admiral
This rank is held by the leader of FBH. Past, Present and hopefully future, the Fleet Admiral has always been Zekk Alvarion.

|
| Admiral
If a member is promoted to Admiral, it is usually after many hard years of service to the clan, and many battles. The Admiral rank is usually only achieved by becoming the second in command of FBH.

| Vice Admiral
A Vice-Admiral generally holds senior command or administrative positions.
|
|
| Rear Admiral Upper-Half
The senior of the Read Admiral ranks, Rear Admiral Upper-Half displays two stars.
|
|
| Rear Admiral Lower-Half
The first of the Admiral ranks, only the Fleet Admiral can promote to this rank.
|
|
| Senior Officers
Senior Officers are typically unit commanders in the Federation, able to fill the position of leading in combat or taking the lead in administrations.

| Commodore
Commodore is the last rank before Admiral and is above Captain. It is signified by a Gold Eagle versus a silver one.
|
|
| Captain
A Captain the staging rank for acceptance into Admirality, just before Commodore, and is high enough in rank to command a division.
|
|
| Commander
The next step for a Lieutenant Commander, is full commander. A Commander is the minimum rank for a Wing Commander in the Federation.

|
| Lieutenant Commander
Often times referred to as the "make or break rank", members who reach Lieutenant Commander are considered for a Naval Command position. It typically requires more than one year of service. An officer of this rank may be assigned Squadron Leader if a Squadron is available. It is also the first of the Senior Officer ranks.

| Junior Officers
These are the first Officer ranks, the members that support the chain of command, and are expected, though all members are required, to provide a positive example to their fellow Hunters. In addittion, a member must be Ensign or above to be considered for an XO or XA position.

| Lieutenant
The last of the Junior Officer ranks, a Lieutenant will be considered for command of their own in special circumstances. At this rank, a member is expected to be perfectly versed in the Federation's inner-workings.

| Lieutenant Junior Grade
For Pilots in the Fleet, this rank comes with the reward of achieving Wings and continued activity. For non-Aviation Officers, this rank is rewarded for proving onself as an Officer.

|
| Ensign
The first of the officer ranks, this rank is somewhat special, as it can only be achieved after passing the Naval Officer's Test.
|
|
| Cadets
Cadets are the Officer Candidates and flight trainees. Their primary job is to learn to be leaders and learn to fly. Once you graduate the intense flight school, you are achieve the Time-honored Federation Wings of Death, earning your place as a Pilot in the Fleet.

| Cadet First Class
The most senior of the Cadet Ranks, Cadet First Class is awarded to a member for displaying all of the skills neccessary to become a Federation Pilot. All that is left for a First Class is to pass the Flight Test.

| Cadet Second Class
A Cadet Second Class begins to show understanding of all the elements of Federation flying, including formation flying, maneuver execution, marksmanship, awareness, and the ability to function as part of a Squadron.

| Cadet Third Class
TA Cadet Third Class has demonstrated basic understanding of how to handle various craft and is ready to undergo the next stages of aviation training.

|
| Cadet Fourth Class
The beginning rank for Cadets, Cadet Fourth Class is awarded to those that are accepted into the Flight Program after showing promise of completing the course.

|
| Enlisted Ratings
The enlisted ratings in the Federation are used to denote those members who are not part of the Flight Program and have not been in the Federation Navy long enough to have taken the Officer's Test. Except in extreme cases, no enlisted rating may hold a command or administrative position.

| Master Chief
A Master Chief is the highest of the enlisted ratings and is considered the staging point for those wishing to complete the Naval Officer's Test.

| Chief
A mid-level rating in the Federation, Chiefs are senior enlisted who are looked to to provide basic training for junior members.
|
|
| Petty Officer
The starting rating of the Federation, Petty Officer is issued to those not engaging in Federation Flight Training and wishing to engage in a non-flight membership in the Federation. Though an NCO rating, Petty Officers are the lowest ranking rated members in the Federation Navy.

| Flight Recruit
As the name states, it is a Navy Recruit in process of being tested for admittance to the flight training program.
